Leaves are changing changing colors, sweaters and sweatshirts are arriving in stores, and pumpkin flavored foods are popping up at restaurants. Autumn is arriving, and so is the Apple Stir and Crafts Festival, which is set to take place on October 5th and 6th at McQueen’s Apple Orchard. This annual festival includes a variety of activities and entertainment for all ages.
McQueen’s is offering a pick your own apples event, arguable the most popular event of all. McQueen’s is one of the most preferred orchards in Toledo to pick apples. There is also an arts and crafts show, live entertainment and music, and a petting zoo. Several bands will be there to perform. Junior Alexander Steenrod is most excited about the annual apple pie baking contest. “I love to bake. I’m planning on entering the contest this year.” Steenrod also expressed that he looks forward to trying the delicious food that will be served there.
The Apple Stir and Crafts Festival also has many fun activities for children. Children’s performances will take place that everyone can enjoy. There are numerous rides, attractions, and inflatable that kids can take part in, as well as play areas for them to hang out at. Children can also go to the petting zoo and other activities.
The season for fall festivals is coming up and McQueen’s is offer lots of fun activities for everyone this weekend! The event will be taking place throughout Ohio and Michigan. Make sure to stop by to enjoy the music, food, and events!
