As a football fan, there is absolutely nothing better than weekends in the fall. We get Thursday night NFL, Friday night high school football, Saturday college, Sunday NFL, and Monday night football. This leaves us with two days to actually be productive out of the rest of the week. But by then, the time for getting stuff done might be over. This year, on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, we are getting the gift of football. The Mid-American Conference, also known as the MAC, is playing every regular season football game on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, and it is awesome.
Any real football fan would be lying if they told you they didn’t love watching the MAC. For some reason, watching these games can be some of the most entertaining in all of football. Maybe so many of us feel this way due to the proximity of the conference, with 6 teams playing from our home state of Ohio. The level of play definitely isn’t top notch, but for some reason there is something very satisfying about watching two MAC teams on my TV screen.
Through two weeks of the MAC, we have already seen some very exciting football in some very interesting games. Toledo earned an impressive victory over Bowling Green. It looks to be also that Buffalo is the class of the MAC, putting up 49 and 42 points in each of the two weeks so far.
If you are a football fan and have never indulged in weeknight MAC, I would highly recommend it. This conference never ceases to deliver exciting and action-packed games on a week-to-week basis.
