  1. Grey’s Anatomy (17+ Seasons)

We’ve got to start off with a classic. If you’re into medical dramas, Grey’s is about to be your next obsession. (But you’re in for the long run – 17 season and counting!) The show follows a group of young doctors at Seattle Grace Hospital as they begin their careers at the hospital as surgical interns. One of the doctors, Meredith Grey (hence the namesake) is the daughter of surgical royalty and her first day of work has quite a few bumps in the road; the first being she had a one night stand with her boss the night before. This show is famous for its many tragedies, but nonetheless it is still filled with drama, passion, comedy, friendship, enemies, and of course, an epic love story. Grey’s Anatomy truly does have it all and I promise it is not one to disappoint.

  1. Criminal Minds (15 Seasons)

There is no denying that Criminal Minds is not for the faint of heart, but for all you crime junkies, this one is definitely for you. The show revolves around an elite group of criminal profilers who work for the FBI as members of its Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) as they go deep into the minds of the country’s most twisted criminals to anticipate their next moves before they strike again. Criminal Minds tells the story of the team as they work various cases while also tackling their personal struggles. This show is perfect if you love to use your brain while you’re watching shows and you can’t help but try to solve the cases with them. It’s easy to fall in love with each of the profilers, whether your favorite is the stern team leader Aaron Hotchner, quirky computer wizard Penelope Garcia, or genius pretty boy Spencer Reid, there is something for all to enjoy.

  1. How I Met Your Mother (9 Seasons)

Have your parents ever sat you down and told you the story of how they met? Well, this story is a bit different. How I Met Your Mother follows Ted Mosby in 2030 as he narrates the story of how he met the mother of his children. The show goes into a flashback and starts in 2005, with 27 year old Ted Mosby living in New York City as an architect. Ted starts his story with the day his best friend Marshall dropped the bombshell that he plans to propose to his longtime girlfriend Lily. How I Met Your Mother is one of the most brilliant tv shows I have ever watched and it is the perfect show if you need something light/funny sitcom to watch. But don’t be fooled; this show will dig itself deep into your heart and you won’t be able to let this one go.

  1. Outer Banks (1+ Seasons)

This new netflix series tells the story of a group of teenagers who live in the Outer Banks, North Carolina. In the world of Outer Banks, you belong to one of two groups: the Pogues (working class) or the Kooks (the rich). John B, Kiara, JJ, and Pope are all Pogues and they spend their time tooling around and living life. The Outer Banks is paradise on Earth…. or so it seems. John B’s father has gone missing and he is convinced that he is still alive. John B enlists his friends to hunt for a legendary treasure that is linked to his father’s dissapearance. Soon enough, they are on the run from the island’s police force, not to mention the involvement of a specific Kook makes things even more complicated. This drama is a quick and easy binge and is the perfect mystery/thriller.

  1. The Vampire Diaries (8 Seasons)

This wouldn’t be a binge-worthy recommendation list without The Vampire Diaries. The supernatural teen drama takes place in Mystic Falls, Virginia; a town of an underlying supernatural history. Stefan and Damon Salvatore are vampires who were born in Mystic Falls in the mid 1800’s. After many years Stefan; the selfless, brave, guilt ridden brother returns to their hometown where he meets a high school girl named Elena Gilbert who he instantly falls in love with. She quickly discovers a whole new world of supernatural, where there are vampires, witches, werewolves, hybrids, and so much more. The relationship becomes even more complicated with the arrival of Stefan’s older brother, Damon. Damon is a gorgeous, dangerous, and selfish vampire, yet he can’t help but draw Elena to him. The two brothers quickly fall into a love triangle with Elena as they both risk their lives to protect her from the various villains and threats to their town with the arrival of an entire world of supernatural. Whether you are team Damon or team Stefan I guarantee you that this show will not disappoint.
